Touring the Lores
Thursday 18th March 2010

Friend of MR&C, Chris Scott, and Tom from the office had an excellent tour of the Lores yesterday (17th).  Lots of pictures on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=154543&id=215204039146&saved#!/album.php?aid=154543&id=215204039146&ref=mf

Brrrrrrrr
Wednesday 10th March 2010

Today (as well as yesterday) is bitterly cold with high winds on the slopes (60km) and -20 at 3000m with low cloud and light snowfall.  Today is one of those days to wrap up in your duvet in front of a good film!

X European X Games, Tignes
Sunday 7th March 2010

The European Winter X Games is being held in our neighbouring resort of Tignes from this coming Wednesday 10th March to Friday 12th March.

What are the X Games?

Launched in Rhode Island in 1995, X Games have quickly become THE reference in terms of extreme sports. The principle? To bring together the best of alternative practices, such as skateboard, mountain bike or rollerblade in summer, and snowboard, slopestyle or snowmobile in Winter.   Click on this link for more information http://www.tignes.net/en

The week and the weather
Sunday 7th March 2010

Today (Sunday 7th March) we are experiencing high winds with intermittent sunshine and temperatures of around -10 this morning.  Conditions are perfect with hard packed pistes and not too busy for the time of year.  Off piste should be enjoyed with caution and a guide should be employed at all times.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Wednesday 24th February 2010

It might be raining at sea level but the snow is falling heavily here in Val d'Isere.  We have experienced continued snow fall today and a decent amount yesterday.   So all you powder hounds should down tools and get to Val asap.

HRH
Wednesday 24th February 2010

One of our most popular breakfast hosts has been noticed by a local celebrity. It  appears  the diva Kelly has taken a liking to our young HRH (name changed for privacy purposes), his cheeky smile and cute looks could not go unnoticed in the Café Face and HRH was soon on his way to having his boundaries pushed to the limit, (in more ways than one). If you would like to see the exclusive photos please log on to www.bbb.co.uk (Breakfast hosts Behaving Badly).   Some people will do anything for a free drink!

Off the beaten track
Friday 19th February 2010

As the pistes are so crowded this week, Tom in our office decided to go off the beaten track and skin up the mountain to find some fresh snow away from the pistes.  Off he went up to Fornet and up to the Tsanteleina.  By all reports, the skinning up was well worth the view and descent amidst fresh snow and an empty run.
